Who We Are

Berkeley County Democrats is the official Democratic Party in Berkeley County South Carolina.

Our mission is to increase Democratic participation in our communities by:

Identifying Democratic voters for our voter database
Educating voters on Democratic candidates
Increasing awareness of elections
Encouraging voter registration

About Our County Chair: Ralph Prioleau, Jr.

Ralph Prioleau, Jr., was born and raised in Saint Stephen, SC. He is happily married to Machelle Prioleau and they share three wonderful children: Taylor, Shonté, and Antwoine. Mr. Prioleau is a graduate of USC-Akien and Charleston School of Law where he secured a BA in Political Science and Juris Doctorate. He currently serves as the South Carolina Democratic Party Black Caucus Parliamentarian and Musician for the Ministries of Truth Tabernacle under Pastor H.E. Dixon.
